NDC KANGAROO COURT RULING: HON. SANNI JIDE CALLS FOR CALM, URGES NIGERIANS TO EMBRACE MASS VOTER REGISTRATION
The House of Representatives aspirant for Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency under the National Democratic Coalition (NDC), Hon. Sanni Jide, has appealed to party supporters and Nigerians to remain calm, peaceful, and law-abiding following what he described as the party’s “kangaroo court ruling.”
Hon. Sanni Jide stated that while every political party has the responsibility to uphold fairness, justice, and due process, members should never allow internal disagreements or controversial decisions to discourage them from participating in the democratic process.
He emphasized that democracy is strengthened through the ballot box and not through violence, intimidation, or political frustration. According to him, Nigerians must remain hopeful and continue to believe in the power of their votes to shape the nation’s future.
The house of representatives candidate NDC for Kabba Bunu-Ijumu urged eligible Nigerians, particularly youths and women, to take advantage of the ongoing voter registration exercise by registering and collecting their Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs), stressing that active participation in elections remains the most effective way to bring about positive change.
“No court ruling, no political challenge, and no temporary setback should discourage Nigerians from exercising their constitutional right.
Democracy belongs to the people, and every vote counts. I therefore urge our supporters and all Nigerians to remain calm, peaceful, and participate actively in the ongoing voter registration exercise,” Hon. Sanni Jide said.
He further encouraged members of the NDC and the general public to continue supporting democratic values, respect the rule of law, and avoid actions capable of undermining peace and national unity.
Hon. Sanni Jide reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people of Kabba-Bunu/Ijumu Federal Constituency with integrity, transparency, and people-oriented leadership, expressing confidence that justice and the will of the people would ultimately prevail through democratic means.
He concluded by calling on all stakeholders to place the interests of Nigeria above personal or political considerations and work collectively towards a peaceful, credible, and inclusive electoral process.
