OGIAME ATUWATSE III PRAISED FOR HIS SIGNIFICANT CONTRIBUTION TO PEACE, DEVELOPMENT OF NIGERIA

The Olu of Warri, His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III, was on Friday applauded for his intelligence, energy and geniality.
He was also praised for promoting the rich customs and tradition of the Itsekiri people.

In a statement on the unprecedented five years of service to the good people of Nigeria, particularly Warri Kingdom, Canaan Land Golf Course and Country Club lauded the monarch for attracting foreign direct investment to Delta State, promoting peaceful coexistence with neighboring groups, and championing sustainable development initiatives.
The statement issued in Koko, headquarters of Warri North Local Government Area by the first private golf course and country club in Iwere land applauded the Warri monarch for strengthening the unity of the people, initiating programmes of modernization and giving impetus to a modest industrial development in Warri Kingdom.
Signed by the Chairman of Akogate Group and Canaan Golf Course and Country Club, Hon. Felix Aganbi, the statement praised the charming and respected monarch for his peace-building, cultural restoration, and economic development programmes
‘’The Canaan Land Golf Course and Country Club named the 18th hole in honor of the respected and revered monarch of the Warri people’’.
Particularly, the statement applauded His Majesty for forming a committee to settle internal community disputes, creating an annual sporting event to foster cooperation and mutual understanding among diverse groups and leading grand waterway processions to the historic island of Ode-Itsekiri (Big Warri) to honor Itsekiri roots.
Known for his generosity, simplicity and sense of humour, the statement further praised His Majesty, Ogiame Atuwatse III for his significant contribution to the development of Nigeria.

His Majesty Ogiame Atuwatse III was crowned as the 21st Olu of Warri on August 21, 2021, at the ancestral home of Ode-Itsekiri (Big Warri) in Delta State, Nigeria.
