Okun Development Association (ODA) Lauds Kogi State Government for Education Development
The Okun Development Association (ODA) has commended the Kogi State Government for its strides in education development, particularly the establishment of Kogi State University in Okun Land.
During a courtesy visit to the Commissioner of Education, Hon. Wemi Jones, ODA’s President General, Ambassador Rotimi Akenson, praised Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo’s administration for its commitment to education.
Ambassador Akenson stated that the government of Kogi State has proven wrong the perception of the naysayers about the construction sites in Kabba (KSU) in appreciation of the consolidation governance of Governor Ododo. As part of its contribution to education development, ODA donated 400 seating chairs to Kogi State University, demonstrating the association’s dedication to enhancing educational opportunities for Okun people.
Hon. Wemi Jones outlined Governor Ododo’s developmental plans for Okun nation, highlighting initiatives in education, infrastructure, and economic empowerment.
The Commissioner urged ODA to maintain its support for the Kogi State Government, emphasizing collaboration for regional advancement. Ambassador Kayode reaffirmed ODA’s commitment to education and development, pledging continued partnership with the government.
The meeting was attended by executive members of ODA, the Hon. Commissioner of Education, Hon. Wemi Jones, and SSA Local Contents to Gov. Ododo, Hon. Kamaldeen Toyin, who is from Ijumu Local Government. The courtesy visit reinforces the partnership between ODA and the Kogi State Government, demonstrating a shared commitment to education, development, and progress.
