Olu of Odokoro Gbede, Oba Elewonibi Installs Alh. Taufiq as High Chief (Orota) Olukoko
His Royal Highness, Olu of Odokoro Gbede, Oba Elewonibi has installed the Executive Chairman of Ijumu Local Government Council and Kogi State ALGON Chairman, Hon. Taufiq Isa with the highest Chieftaincy title in the land as Olukoko of Odokoro Gbede, (Orota)
The programme which took place in the palace of the Olu of Odokoro Gbede as part of activities to honour personalities who have distinguished themselves in their various fields of endeavors.

The programme saw arrays of cultural displays such as masquerade, ebira dancers, local artist, local hunters and other entertainers from within and other the community.
The Olu of Odokoro Gbede, Oba Abdulganiyu Isah said he is aware of the tremendous achievements the Executive Chairman has made since he was appointed Administrator.
He narrated how he has brought fame to the community through his sterling achievements across the Local Government.
His Royal Highness further said the title is to appreciate him for what he has done.
He praised Governor Yahaya Bello for putting their son in such important position for since 2016, prayed that Almighty God will continue to give him the wherewithal to pilot the affairs of his office and carry on in impacting lives positively.
The tradition rites and coronation was performed by the Obaro of Iyamoye, HRM.Oba Ibrahim Momoh, Olugbede of Gbede Kingdom, HRM. Oba Olusegun Toba,Olu of Oyoo – Iwa,Olukoyi of Okoro Gbede, Olu of Araromi Gbede.
The Speaker, Kogi State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aliyu Yusuf, Evangelist Kingsley Fanwo as Chief Mayegun,Otunba Lanre Ipinmisho as Chief Olu Mayegun, Councilor representing Ayetoro/Agrigbon Oke ward 2, Hon. Korede Pedro was installed as Chief, Bobaselu, Dr. Kamaldeen Toyin as Chief Balogun, Mr. Mayowa Idris as Chief Olugbedegun, Comrade Othman Hamidu as Chief Akeweje, Mrs Olayinka Omosagba as Chief Yeye Tayese, amongst many others bestowed with honorary Chieftaincy title.
The Council Chairman, Hon. Taufiq Isa in his acceptance speech, thanked the council of traditional rulers for installing him as Orota Olukoko. He dedicated the Chieftaincy title to God Almighty and the Executive Governor of Kogi State,His Exellency, Alh. Yahaya Bello who he described as lover of his people.
