My name is Job Ayuba Izang,PDP Councillorship candidate, for Lamingo Ward,I reside in Kunyi Katse- Gwafan,in Lamingo Ward and I started my primary education at the Tolemach Private school and I finished in 2000.
I proceeded to Government Secondary School,Fobur from 2001 to 2006 I then when to the Plateau State Polytechnic for my diploma program, after my graduation I was in the University of Jos, where I studied Peace and Conflicts and i graduated in 2020.
I have being a professional gulfer for years.
How have you impacted on the younger ones with such dexterity you possess?
Thank you,Im not only playing the golf, but I’m also an instructor with the famous Lamingo gold club,I have impacted immensely in the lives of my people through the game of the golf.
When we started playing the game there was no place for training and our people, being the host Community, were not benefiting anything from the golf club.
I then established what’s known as an Academy in other to train our Youths and other interested members of the society to engage in training and learn how to play the game of golf. against the the believes that the game of golf is only for the rich people.
I established the Academy in collaboration with other professionals golfers and we enrol people free what you need to do is to register with us and we have coaches that trains the learners.
We do send them for various competitions and tournaments in different States of the federation and that affords them the opportunity to interact with other golfers.
As I’m talking to you,we just returned from IBB Golf and Country Club,Abuja for a tournament, three of our boys from the Academy made us proud, one of them won the sum of seven hundred thousand naira while the other two won three hundred thousand naira each and the money is meant for them not for us at the Academy
What we are doing is to engaged our Youths in order to curb social vices and restiveness among our them.
I have equally secured jobs for our Youths within and outside the club.
What are your plans for your people if elected as a Councillor?
I’m a man that loves progress and I love my people,I want them to achieve their goals and dreams.
I have a lot of plans for them,if giving the mandate,I will be their servant,I will ensure they are well represented.
I will lobby for projects that will reduce the rate of poverty and empower them with skills.
We will ensure better health care and education,we have some less privileged parents that cannot afford to send their children to school.
I intend to set up a system where by there will be a scholarship scheme for the vulnerable children in order to reduce the rate of out of school children in Lamingo Ward.
