Remain positive for a more united, rebranded Kogi State- Makama charges Kogites

Kogites have been urged to remain focused and positive for a united, rebranded and more developed Kogi State of their dream.

The Director General, Kogi State Special Task Force on Illegal Smuggling of Fire Arms and other related Crimes, Elder Friday Sani Makama gave the admonition in his new year message on Monday.

While noting that the unity and development of Kogi State should be a top priority for all and sundry, the former Majority leader of Kogi House of Assembly lawmaker and former special Adviser to Kogi State Governor on youths empowerment and employment generation noted that, it is time for the people to speak with one voice in support of both the present and incoming administration.

Makama, who also commended the people of Kogi State for making the right choice in electing the Governor elect, Alhaji Usman Ahmed Ododo to consolidate and continue with the massive achievement of Governor Yahaya Bello, said the 2023 Governorship in Kogi State will forever be remembered for it intrigue and suspense in the history of the State.

His words “Election has come and gone. What Kogites should be thinking now is how to ensure that the incoming administration succeeds. The present administration led by my father, mentor and leader Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Eleojo Bello has performed excellently well since he assumed office on 27th January 2016. In the history of Kogi State, no Governor has done what this young Man did for his people.

“Is it security, health, Schools, infrastructures, empowerment, youths inclusiveness, improved welfare, to mention but a few. If we want to give account of Governor Bello’s achievement in the last eight years, I don’t think we can finish it in the next 100 days. Kogites are very happy that Ododo the flower Boy that will succeed him is already well groomed in the system and is willing and capable to continue the transformation and developmental agenda of the present Government”.

The APC chieftain who expressed optimism that the year 2024 will witness an unprecedented development in Kogi State under the incoming administration said the people must resist being divided under any ethnic or religious lines.

He maintained that the year 2024 will be eventful, victorious and glorious for the people of Kogi State.

Makama, who has been on the forefront in the fight illegal smuggling of light arms and ammunitions into Kogi State lauded Governor Yahaya Bello for giving him the opportunity to serve in his cabinet, adding that, the incoming Government will succeed in the State.
