Security of Lives and Property is Our Collective Responsibility, says Omodara
The State Security Adviser to Kogi State Government, Commander Jerry Omodara (Rtd), FSS, MSS, has said that security of lives and property of all Kogites is the collective responsibilities of all and sundry.
Omodara, who made this assertion on Wednesday while speaking to journalists in Lokoja, charged all stakeholders in the state to join hands with the relevant security agencies to ensure crime-free environment and restore peace, especially in some part of the state.
He said the administration of His Excellency, Governor Ahmed Usman Ododo (OAU), was determined to collaborate with every stakeholder in the maintenance of law and order, as well as the protection of lives and property, while welcoming any suggestion aimed at making the state crime-free.
He added that the issue of security in every society should not be a sole responsibility of the security agents, but rather a collective and collaborative activities amongst all stakeholders including the community and religious leaders, pressure groups, none governmental organizations, and other government institutions.
He thanked the people of the state for supporting the administration of His Excellency, assuring them of the Governor Ododo led administration’s readiness to deliver the dividends of democracy.
