Sen. Karimi Denies Sahara Reporters’ Claims of Mass Killings in Yagba West LGA, says the report is false, malicious and satanic
Senator Sunday Karimi, representing Kogi West Senatorial District, has described a recent report by Sahara Reporters alleging the killings of 27 people in Yagba West Local Government Area as “false, malicious, and satanic.” The report, titled “Bandits Kill 27 in Fresh Attack on Kogi’s Yagba West As Insecurity Worsens,” was vehemently denied by the Senator.
Sen. Karimi stated that the publication was entirely false and reckless, warning those behind the report to desist from spreading false information.
He paid tribute to the Federal and State Governments for their efforts in ensuring peace and security in the area.
The Senator emphasized that there was no truth to the allegations of killings or abductions in Yagba West LGA, describing the report as a deliberate attempt to misinform the public and discredit the security agencies.
Sen. Karimi maintained that he had been in touch with relevant security agencies, and there was no evidence to support the claims made by Sahara Reporters.
He attributed the false report to mischief makers and described it as “yellow journalism with ethics and public trust thrown overboard.”
The Senator urged those spreading fear and anxiety among the people of Yagba West LGA to desist, assuring that the Federal and State Governments were working tirelessly to ensure peace and tranquility in the area.
