Senator Karimi, known for his unwavering commitment to the socio-economic advancement of Okun communities, expressed profound appreciation for the delegation’s visit and praised the Initiative’s consistency in championing grassroots development.

He described the 2nd Okun Summit as timely and pivotal, given the current need for regional cohesion and collective action.

“The Okun Summit is more than a gathering; it is a rallying point for vision, dialogue, and unity. I commend the Okun Development Initiative for this laudable move and assure you of my full support, both in logistics and in mobilizing broader participation across relevant sectors,” Senator Karimi said.

He emphasized the importance of harnessing local resources and talent to create sustainable solutions for Okunland’s development challenges.

The Senator also pledged to continue advocating for policies and funding at the national level that directly benefit the Okun people.

The delegation, in turn, expressed gratitude to Senator Karimi for his hospitality, encouragement, and long-standing dedication to Okunland’s progress.

They reiterated their readiness to collaborate closely with government stakeholders to ensure the success of the summit and the long-term impact of its resolutions.

As preparations intensify for the 2nd Okun Summit, scheduled to attract a wide array of traditional leaders, policymakers, professionals, and community advocates, the meeting with Senator Karimi marks a strategic milestone in building momentum and securing stakeholder alignment.

The Okun Development Initiative calls on all sons and daughters of Okunland, both at home and in the diaspora, to lend their voices, expertise, and resources toward this transformative gathering.

Dignitaries on the delegation include, ODI Coordinator, Dcn Olusuyi Otitoju,  Mr. Ben Owoleke,  Mr. Wilson Tolufase, Mr. Kola Modehin, Chief Oluseyi Akeweje and Apostle Olalekan Aiyenigba, ODI Secretary
