Sen. Karimi Receives Delegation from Okun Development Initiative, Reaffirms Commitment to Regional Growth Ahead of 2nd Okun Summit
In a significant step toward fostering unity and accelerating development in Okunland, Senator Sunday Karimi has received delegation from the Okun Development Initiative (ODI) at his constituency office.
The meeting was convened as part of the ongoing preparations towards the hosting of the 2nd Okun Summit, scheduled to take place in Kabba, the administrative headquarters of Okunland.
The ODI delegation, comprising of eminent sons and daughters of Okunland, briefed the Senator on the theme, objectives, and strategic importance of the forthcoming summit, which aims to address critical issues affecting the region, including infrastructure, security, youth empowerment, education, healthcare and economic revitalization.
Senator Karimi, known for his unwavering commitment to the socio-economic advancement of Okun communities, expressed profound appreciation for the delegation’s visit and praised the Initiative’s consistency in championing grassroots development.
He described the 2nd Okun Summit as timely and pivotal, given the current need for regional cohesion and collective action.
