Tension: Bandits Give Quit Notice to herders, Farmers in Kogi Forest
There is growing tension around the Odo-Ape, Agbadu communities in Kabba-Bunu local government area of Kogi State forest where bandits are said to have given the herders and farmers occupying the area an ultimatum to leave their settlements in the area or face forceful ejection.
An impeccable source who doesn’t want his name in print, confirmed to our reporter that the bandits gave the ultimatum a few days ago, pointed out that the Fulanis, Bororos, Tivs and community farmers have no other choice than to vacate the area and relocate to Odo-Ape community to save their lives.
The information further confirmed that cases of kidnapping and killing are still a regular occurrence in the area hence everyone is running for their dear life.
According to a concern indigene of Agbadu Bunu community who wrote on their platform yesterday said “the community is under siege again as not only are these bandits and kidnappers invading the settlements of the Fulanis, Hausas, Tivs and others in the radius of 3 to 4 kilometers of the village they have started sending them away from their settlements while others have fled out of fear of invasion. We seek prayers and support of all while being hopeful of Government intervention”
The community calls on the security agencies and government at all levels to come to their rescue, urging them not to allow the bandits to succeed in taking over their lands.

According to an eyes witness, the people are yet to ascertain the numbers of people kidnaped.
Meanwhile, efforts to get the Kogi State Command Police PRO, William Aya as at the time of filing in this reports to confirmed the incident proved abortive as all calls, SMS and WhatsApp message put through to his phone was not successful.
