The Party is at present on a free fall, something must be done quickly to halt and reverse this negative trend!
The right man to carry out this Critical Assignment of RESTORATION, is Dr. Phillips Omeiza SALAWU, the Candidate for the Substantive National Chairman of the Party, PDP.
He has the following qualities for the RESTORATION of the Party’s lost glory:
1.KNOWLEDGE OF HISTORY OF THE PARTY.
He has the relevant Historical Knowledge of the Party, PDP. He was a founding Member/Father of the Party.
He deployed his intellectual, professional, technical, material and financial resources for the solid foundation of the party, giving the party a competitive edge at the December 1998 Local Government elections when PDP had the overwhelming success and the rest was history upto the 2015 General Elections!
He was there on the 30th of October 1998 at the International Conference Centre, Abuja FCT where the name, People’s Democratic Party, was pronounced to the whole World.
Dr. Phillips O Salawu has a deep knowledge of the Geo-Political Complexities of the Nigerian State, he knows the Peculiarities of each Zone and how best to address their emerging issues.
2.NEUTRALITY.
His Candidacy is Non-Aligned to any of the known Power Blocs in the PDP as of today and therefore his judgment will be balanced, his Candidacy is for Everybody and for Nobody!
3.COURAGE.
By virtue of his training, experience, professional backgrounds, maturity, calmness, self-discipline; he is not frightened by tense situations and he is able to confront issues as they arise for effective resolutions, without fear or favour.
4.PATIENCE.
He is patient enough to listen to complaints from all sides but firm and decisive in the attainment of the set goals.
5.PARTY ADMINISTRATION.
He was at the National Secretariat of the Party, PDP, from Day-One in October 1998 and held a Sensitive Portfolio as the First National Director of Finance.
He used his Professional Knowledge as a Chartered Accountant to design and implement the Accounting System of the Party to conform with the guidelines of the Regulatory Authorities such as INEC.
By virtue of his Portfolio at the National Secretariat, he worked closely with the different organs of the Party and was able to manage sensitive information he encountered in the ordinary course of his Official Duties.
6.CLEAR VISION AND MISSION.
Dr. Phillips Omeiza SALAWU has clear Vision and Mission for the Party, PDP.
His Vision and Mission to Reposition PDP are contained in his 3-Point Program encoded in the “3-R” Agenda of:
RECONCILIATION,
RESTRUCTURING, and
RESTORATION.

His actions are always controlled by One Dominant Force: The Fear of God!
