Ex-Speaker, Kolawole Commiserates with Adeyemi family and Hajiya Rekiya Alfa over the death of Mrs Ibironke Adeyemi nee Areh
Matthew Kolawole, the former Speaker of the Kogi State House of Assembly, has expressed his condolences to Colonel Adeyemi (rtd) and Hajiya Rekiya Alfa following the sudden death of Mrs Ibironke Adeyemi nee Areh. Mrs Adeyemi passed away yesterday with no prior signs of illness.
In a statement to the press, Kolawole described the news of Mrs Adeyemi’s death as devastating to her husband, children, extended family, the Kabba community, and humanity at large. He noted that it was hard to believe that someone so active could pass away so suddenly, especially after her daily exercise routine.
Kolawole praised Mrs Adeyemi for her loving nature, which extended not only to her family but also to anyone she came across. He remembered her as a supportive wife and mother who provided the necessary support for her family, especially during the time her husband was in service.
While acknowledging that it is painful to lose a loved one unexpectedly, Kolawole offered words of comfort to the Adeyemi and Areh families, encouraging them to take solace in the word of God, which states that there is a time to be born and a time to die. He prayed for Mrs Adeyemi’s soul to rest in peace.
