2027: Stay the Course, Ajileye Tells Kogi West Stakeholders
Pastor Stanley Ajileye has urged political stakeholders in Kogi West to remain disciplined and focused, stressing that while the district’s 2027 governorship aspiration is firm, the immediate priority is the Tinubu, Karimi Project.
In a statement circulated on Sunday, Ajileye described the Kogi West quest to produce the next governor as a long, standing struggle built on years of advocacy and collective resolve.
He said the demand is “non, negotiable,” but cautioned that premature politicking could weaken the momentum already built.
He warned against distractions from “political jobbers,” noting that such tendencies often emerge when a movement begins to gain traction. According to him, unity of purpose and strategic patience will be crucial in achieving both present and future political goals.
Ajileye emphasized that the current focus should be on securing the re,election of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and sustaining the mandate of Steve Sunday Karimi, describing both as essential to strengthening Kogi West’s political relevance at the national level.
He also called on members of the All Progressives Congress to close ranks and work collectively for the success of the party in upcoming elections, adding that internal cohesion remains a decisive factor in electoral victory.
While acknowledging that endorsements and alliances will continue to shape the political landscape ahead of 2027, Ajileye maintained that the decisive moment would ultimately reflect the will of the people.
He noted that groundwork for the future contest is already ongoing, with consultations and grassroots mobilisation gradually intensifying across the district.
Reiterating his call for focus, Ajileye urged supporters not to be swayed by distractions, insisting that the Tinubu,Karimi Project remains the immediate pursuit.
He added that sustained grassroots engagement and unwavering commitment will not only secure present victories but also position Kogi West for success in the 2027 governorship race.
