APC Kano Appoints Dan Agundi, Bichi to Lead Statewide E-Registration Drive.

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Kano State has inaugurated a 14-member E-Registration Membership Committee, appointing Baffa Babba Dan Agundi as Chairman and Engineer Rabi’u Sulaiman Bichi as Co-Chairman, in a move aimed at strengthening the party’s grassroots structure through technology-driven membership registration.
The committee was formally inaugurated on Tuesday by the Kano State APC Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas, at the party’s state secretariat. In his address, Alhaji Abbas described the e-registration initiative as a critical reform designed to modernise the party’s membership database, enhance internal democracy, and ensure transparency and accuracy in party records.
According to him, the e-registration exercise will be implemented across all wards in the 44 local government areas of Kano State, making it one of the most comprehensive internal organisational projects undertaken by the party in the state.
“This committee has been carefully selected to deliver a credible, inclusive and technology-driven membership registration process,” Alhaji Abbas said. “You are expected to work diligently, transparently and in unity to ensure the success of this important assignment, which will strengthen our party from the grassroots to the state level.”
The 14-member committee comprises experienced party stakeholders drawn from across the state. Members include:

Alhaji Abbas explained that the committee will work closely with ward, local government and state party structures to ensure seamless registration, proper data capture and widespread sensitisation of members on the importance of the exercise.
Strengthening Party Structures.
The e-registration initiative is expected to replace outdated manual systems with a digital platform that allows for accurate identification of members, elimination of duplication, and improved planning for party activities, including congresses and primaries.
Political observers note that the move reflects the APC’s growing emphasis on internal reforms and capacity building ahead of future political engagements. By adopting e-registration, the party aims to deepen participation, particularly among youths and first-time members, while also aligning with global best practices in party administration.
In his brief response on behalf of the committee, Engr. Rabi’u Sulaiman Bichi expressed gratitude to the party leadership for the confidence reposed in them, assuring that the committee would discharge its duties with dedication and professionalism.
The inauguration marks another step by the Kano State APC toward consolidating its organisational base and reinforcing unity among members across the state.
