Braimoh and His Supporters Should be Praised, not Threatened – Campaign Organization

The campaign team of Otunba Olayinka Braimoh released a press statement this morning, urging those who are threatening their leader, Otunba Olayinka Braimoh, and his supporters to stop these actions or be ready to face the legal wrath of the masses, along with divine consequences.

In a statement from the organization’s media head, Musa Olumayowa Yakubu, it was highlighted that “Otunba Olayinka Braimoh, the candidate for the Action Alliance (AA) in the 2023 Kogi state election, is a hardworking and easy-going person. His campaign, which included over 100 town hall meetings, was issue based. His main goal is to tackle the self-imposed poverty in the state through a wealth creation initiative known as the STAT Agenda (Solid minerals, Tourism, Agriculture, and Trade). He has never resorted to personal attacks or insults. Even after the election, he has continued to speak out against the senseless killings and kidnappings plaguing his community of Bunu in Kabba-Bunu local government area, stressing that without security of lives and property, there can’t be conducive environment for wealth creation.”

The statement goes on to say, “It’s unfortunate that Braimoh and his supporters are now facing threats from people who should actually be praising them for their dedication to public safety. We recognize that these individuals are feeling threatened by Olayinka Braimoh’s growing political influence, which has led to these threats. They’ve even gone as far as to report him to certain elders, claiming that among all the candidates in the last gubernatorial election in the state, only Braimoh has not aligned himself with the current government. Moreover, some of his supporters have been advised to be mindful of their movements in the state. This situation is both concerning and disheartening”.

“We will make sure we notify the right authorities about this situation, we won’t hesitate to expose the identities of those behind these dastardly actions if they continue. If you can’t help those facing unjust security problems, then why intimidate those who are bringing these inhumane acts to the attention of the federal government and the general public? Consequently, we are appealing to our esteemed supporters to remain calm in the face of threat but ensure they always make public and report officially to the authorities around them if further threats to the life of any member occur again”

“Braimoh and his supporters deserve recognition and praise, not condemnation,” the message ended.
