CP NAZIRU BELLO KANKAROFI, psc, mni ENGAGES THE LEADERSHIP OF THE CHRISTIAN ASSOCIATION OF NIGERIA (CAN) KOGI STATE CHAPTER DURING ADVOCACY VISIT
The Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Police Command, CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi, psc, mni, today received the leadership of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kogi State Chapter, at the Command Headquarters, Lokoja, in a visit aimed at strengthening cooperation, enhancing community engagement, and supporting ongoing security efforts across the state.
During the visit, the State Chairman, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Kogi State Chapter, Pastor Adebayo Emmanuel Olaniyan, commended the Commissioner of Police for the remarkable strides recorded in combating crime and improving public safety. He noted the visible reduction in criminal activities within the short period since CP Kankarofi assumed office, describing the progress as encouraging and worthy of commendation. The delegation also highlighted specific areas of concern requiring sustained attention. He assured the CP of continued partnership and collaboration to improve the security of lives and property in the State.
In response, CP Kankarofi acknowledged their observations, assuring them that the Command is not only aware of security issues but has already taken decisive steps to address them. He reaffirmed the Command’s commitment to continuous operational improvement, intelligence-driven policing, and proactive security interventions across vulnerable areas.
The CP further expressed deep appreciation for the visit, describing it as a valuable demonstration of support, partnership, and shared responsibility. He stated that such engagements boost the morale of officers and reinforce the Command’s resolve to maintain professionalism, transparency, and community-centered policing. He emphasized that strong collaboration between security agencies, religious bodies, and community stakeholders remains vital to sustaining peace, ensuring that criminal elements find no space to operate. He further encouraged the Association to continue offering moral guidance, constructive feedback, and community-driven support in the collective effort to secure Kogi State.
