Deputy Speaker Lami Danladi Ogenyi Calls for Unity Among Idoma People

The member representing Ado State Constituency in the Benue State House of Assembly and Deputy Speaker of the House, Hon. Lami Danladi Ogenyi, has called on all Idoma sons and daughters to remain committed and steadfast in promoting unity across Idoma land.

Hon. Ogenyi reaffirmed her commitment to supporting initiatives that foster peace, unity, and harmonious coexistence among the Idoma people, stressing that collective efforts are essential for the growth and progress of the nation.

She made the remarks during an exclusive interview with members of the media at the Abuja Idoma Cultural Day Celebration, held at the Old Parade Ground, Area 10, Garki, in the Central Business District of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja. The event attracted Idoma sons and daughters residing across the FCT, who gathered to celebrate their rich cultural heritage and strengthen communal ties.

The Deputy Speaker commended the organizers for their dedication and hard work in hosting what she described as a colourful and well-organized cultural event. According to her, the celebration was a demonstration of genuine love and commitment to the Idoma nation, noting that such initiatives would further strengthen unity, promote social cohesion, and contribute to the overall development of Idoma land.

She further urged all Idoma sons and daughters to remain loyal, dedicated, and supportive of programmes and initiatives aimed at advancing the development, peace, and prosperity of Idoma land.

Hon. Ogenyi emphasized that unity remains the foundation for meaningful progress, encouraging the Idoma people to continue working together in the collective interest of their communities and future generations.
