DG NADDC, Joseph Osanipin Receives Leadership Award

The Director General of the National Automotive Design and Development Council (NADDC), Mr. Oluwemimo Joseph Osanipin, has received the Exemplary Leadership Award organized by Democracy Newsline Newspaper to mark its 15th Annual Public Lectures and anniversary ceremony.
The theme of the event was “The Role of Independent Media in Promoting Participatory Democracy and Good Governance in Nigeria.”
The award is a recognition of Osanipin’s outstanding leadership skills and contributions to the automotive industry.
According to a press statement signed by the publisher and CEO, Chief Olugbemi Femi, Osanipin’s exceptional leadership has been recognized, particularly his efforts in promoting the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) initiative of the Federal Government.
The initiative aims to cushion the effects of the removal of subsidies on Premium Motor Spirit (PMS).
The award was received on Osanipin’s behalf by his Special Assistant, Hon. Simeon Babatunde Olufemi, who commended the organization for recognizing the DG’s giant efforts in repositioning the automotive sector in Nigeria.
He said the recognition is a wake-up call for the DG to do more in making the sector attractive to Nigerians.
