The member representing Doguwa/Tudun Wada Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives, Rt.Hon.Alhassan Ado Doguwa, has called on members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Doguwa and Tudun Wada Local Government Areas to close ranks, forgive past grievances, and work together to strengthen the party ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a strongly worded press statement issued on Wednesday, the veteran lawmaker stressed that the time had come for every loyal party member to unite in defense of the APC and ensure victory for the party “from top to bottom” across Kano State and the country at large.
Doguwa emphasized the need for reconciliation among party stakeholders, declaring that no APC member should be treated as an outsider. According to him, the future of the ruling party depends largely on unity, tolerance, and collective commitment among both old and new members.
He stated that he was ready to work with all factions and political interests within the APC to guarantee the growth and stability of the party in Doguwa, Tudun Wada, and beyond.
The federal lawmaker also commended the Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, for what he described as his generosity and continued support for party members and political associates. Doguwa assured that APC members would continue to support efforts aimed at strengthening democratic governance and political cooperation in the state.
In addition, he appealed to longstanding party loyalists and new entrants into the APC fold to remain patient with one another and avoid actions capable of creating fresh divisions within the party structure.
Doguwa further extended an olive branch to aggrieved members who had earlier left the APC due to political disagreements, urging them to return and join hands with other stakeholders to reposition the party for future electoral success in Kano State and across Nigeria.
Speaking on national politics, the lawmaker called on the people of Northern Nigeria to support the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for a second term in office, arguing that completing an eight-year tenure would promote fairness, equity, and political balance between Northern and Southern Nigeria.
He noted that the North had previously enjoyed similar support during the administration of late former President Muhammadu Buhari, adding that sustaining such political understanding would strengthen national unity and democratic stability.
According to Doguwa, APC’s greatest strength ahead of future elections lies in the ability of its members to remain united, focused, and committed to a common political vision.
Political observers believe the renewed call for reconciliation and grassroots mobilization may significantly shape political alignments in Kano State as preparations for the 2027 elections gradually gather momentum.
