Egbewole appointed Member, Body of Benchers

The Vice Chancellor of the University of Ilorin, Prof. Wahab Olasupo Egbewole, SAN, has been appointed as a member of the influential Body of Benchers Nigeria, the nation’s apex legal body.
A statement by the Director of Corporate Affairs, University of Ilorin, Mr Kunle Akogun, disclosed that “the appointment of the renowned legal luminary is contained in a letter sent to him by the Secretary to the Body of Benchers, Mr Daniel L. Tela.

The letter, dated March 31, 2026, indicated that
the appointment, which takes immediate effect, is for a period of three years.
