Insecurity in Kogi Will Soon Be a Thing of the Past – State Security Adviser, Omodara
The State Security Adviser to the Kogi State Government, Commander Jerry Omodara (rtd), has expressed optimism that insecurity in the state will soon be a thing of the past.
He disclosed this while addressing a gathering at a civic reception organized by the Legend Club of Okunland in Abuja to celebrate individuals recently appointed by President Bola Tinubu into various positions of authority across all sectors of the economy.
Representing Governor Usman Ododo, the State Security Adviser commended the club for initiating an event to recognize and celebrate individuals who have made significant contributions in their fields before their appointments.
He added that his administration will continue to partner with reputable organizations like the Legend Club to promote peace in the state.
He acknowledged the existing robust collaboration between the state and the Office of the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, stressing that both the NSA office and government of Kogi are working in line with the President’s determination to end insecurity in every state of the federation, with Kogi receiving special attention
Highlighting the government’s commitment to tackling insecurity and restoring peace, Omodara noted that over 26 criminals who collaborated with bandits or served as informants had been apprehended, and an additional 7 were arrested just the previous day.
He assured the people of the state, especially in Okunland, that they would experience a new lease on life as the federal government and the state administration collaborate to deploy national assets to tackle banditry.
The State Security Adviser further stated that the state government is working tirelessly to address the root causes of insecurity and implement effective security measures.
He urged the people to continue supporting the administration to overcome security challenges in affected areas, emphasizing Governor Ododo’s commitment to eradicating insecurity in the state.
