Okun League of Progressive Elites Praises Governor Ododo for Tackling Brain Drain in Medical Sector

By Samuel Temiloluwa – Lokoja

The Okun League of Progressive Elites (OLOPE) has commended Governor Usman Ododo of Kogi State for his innovative approach to addressing brain drain in the medical sector.

In a press statement signed by the group’s leadership, OLOPE applauded the governor’s decision to approve a monthly allowance of ₦300,000 for doctors in the state.

The group acknowledged this bold step towards retaining medical talent and improving healthcare delivery, noting that it would attract doctors to Kogi State instead of them seeking opportunities abroad.

They view the move as a testament to Governor Ododo’s commitment to the welfare of healthcare professionals and the overall well-being of Kogi State residents.

By providing financial support to doctors, the state government aims to boost morale, reduce turnover rates, and enhance the quality of medical services.

OLOPE’s commendation is consistent with its previous expressions of support for Governor Ododo’s administration, praising his leadership and vision for promoting development and good governance.

The group’s praise underscores the importance of strategic initiatives in addressing pressing challenges and promoting citizens’ well-being. Governor Ododo’s decision demonstrates his administration’s commitment to creating a conducive environment for healthcare professionals to thrive.
