OSUN: MR MOSHOOD ABIODUN AFOLABI EMERGES NEW CHAIRMAN AS OSOGRAM ’89 SET CELEBRATES REUNION.

Osogbo Grammar School 1989 Alumni Association were in happy mode as they celebrates their carnival-like annual 2024 reunion.
The event which was well packaged in appreciating the goodness of God in their lives in the past 35 years, witnessed who is who across the country including some Special Guest of Honour.

Among those that graced the occasion is the Guest Lecturer for the event Dr, Abdulrauf Adelani Opawole, a Senior Consultant and family physician at State Specialist hospital, Osogbo who delivered a well packaged health talk during the event.
Dr. Adelani admonished the gathering and also gave a professional advice on the needs to always do a regular medical check up and taking enough rest whenever stress set in.
Others dignitaries at the
event were the Principals of Osogbo Grammar School, Mrs Sobalaje, Mrs Olatunji, and Mrs Ogunlade who were ably represented at the occasion by Mr Funsho Akingbala.
The Program which kicked started at the Osogbo Grammar School premises with health walk around the school compound and later move down to NUJ Hall, Press center, Osogbo where the Lecture, Election and others activities took place.
At the beginning of the program, Pastor Timothy Babalola who is also one of the Alumni members committed the program on God’s hand, also prayed for the mercy and protection of Almighty God over all the members while a minute silence was also observed for the departed members during the event.
In his opening remark, the Chairman of the association Comrade Hammed Owoo thanks Almighty God for making it possible to witness another annual reunion. Comrade Owoo used the occasion to deliver his stewardship and achievements during his tenure as a performing Chairman. He also appreciated all that graced the occasion from far and near.
The event also witnessed the Election of new Executives of the association. A well coordinated election by the three men electoral committee headed by the Chairman Mr Charles Adedokun, brought in the new Executives of the association headed by new Chairman Mr Moshood Abiodun Afolabi who is the Registrer College of Health Technology Ilesa.

Chairman…..Mr Moshood Abiodun Afolabi, Vice Chairman…Mrs Fasilat Agboola, Secretary General….Dr. Dayo Oduwole, Financial Secretary….Mr Seyi Opoola, Treasurer…..Mrs Kemi Adelu Bamidele, Welfare Secretary…..Mr Segun Dada, while the Publicity Secretary, the Spoke person for the association is Mr Wale Akintibu.
In his acceptance speech, the newly elected Chairman of the association, Mr Moshood Abiodun Afolabi thanks all the members of the association for believing in him and promised not to disappoint the entire association. According to him, he said he has learnt a lot from out going Chairman and he will follow his foot step. Mr Moshood alsy appreciated the Electoral committee for a well coordinated election.
The event which collided with the festiver period ended with entertainment from DJ Big J, Menu Menu, different dancing steps from members while Omooba Oyedele Sunday anchored the event as Master of Ceremony (MC).
