In a remarkable demonstration of compassion, generosity, and steadfast commitment to his constituents, the Senator representing Kebbi South Senatorial District, Garba Musa Maidoki, has distributed bags of rice and cash donations as Ramadan palliatives to the people of Kebbi South.

The initiative, an expanded version of his annual Ramadan outreach programme, was designed to extend beyond indigent households to include support groups, community leaders, youth and women associations, party executives, and other stakeholders across the length and breadth of Kebbi South Senatorial District in Kebbi State.
Speaking during the distribution exercise, the Senator’s Legislative Assistant, Hon. Dantani Yalo, who represented him at the event, described the gesture as a deliberate intervention aimed at cushioning the effects of current economic challenges, particularly during the sacred month of Ramadan—a season defined by charity, compassion, and selflessness.

The distribution was preceded by a special prayer session for leaders at all levels, seeking divine guidance, peace, and prosperity for the state and the nation. The gathering also featured a resounding endorsement of the President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the Executive Governor of Kebbi State, Nasir Idris, and the Distinguish Senator Garba Musa Maidoki in recognition of what beneficiaries described as ongoing efforts to improve livelihoods and strengthen governance.
To ensure fairness and transparency, Senator Maidoki constituted a high-level committee comprising respected stakeholders from across the district. The committee included:

Sani Maiwa (SLA)
Dantani Ango (Legislative Assistant)
Najib Muhammad (Personal Assistant to the Senator)

The committee was tasked with overseeing what was described as a just and equitable distribution process. Coverage Across the Two Emirates.
Each of the seven Local Government Areas (LGAs) within the two Emirates of Zuru and Yauri received 50 bags of rice along with a cash allocation of ₦500,000.
The benefiting LGAs include:
Zuru, Sakaba, Danko Wasagu, Fakai, Yauri, Shanga
and Ngaski. At Ngaski Local Government Area, the LGA Coordinator, Alhaji Dantsoho Labo, formally presented the rice and funds to the Party Chairman, reaffirming the Senator’s commitment to grassroots development.
Addressing beneficiaries, Hon. Dantani Yalo urged them to make judicious use of the Ramadan gifts. He conveyed two key appeals from Senator Maidoki: you should continued prayers for lasting peace and stability in Kebbi State and Nigeria, and sustained civic engagement as the 2027 general elections approach.
He emphasised the importance of obtaining Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) and participating actively in the democratic process.
“As the 2027 general elections gradually gather momentum, it is imperative that you prepare to carry out your civic responsibilities. This can only be done when you possess your Permanent Voter Card. He encourage you all to obtain your PVCs and remain committed to supporting visionary leadership,” he stated.
He further noted that one meaningful way to express appreciation to Senator Maidoki and the All Progressives Congress (APC) would be to rally support for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, Governor Nasir Idris, and Senator Maidoki in future elections.
The distribution of bags of rice was widely described by beneficiaries as a timely and impactful intervention. Community leaders, religious figures, youth and women’s groups, party executives, traditional rulers, and political associates all expressed gratitude for what they termed a sincere reflection of the true teachings of Ramadan—charity to the less privileged and solidarity with the vulnerable.
Many commended Senator Garba Musa Maidoki for his consistency, accessibility, and unwavering dedication to the welfare of his constituents, pledging their continued support and cooperation.
As Ramadan continues to inspire acts of kindness and generosity, this large-scale humanitarian outreach stands as a testament to leadership rooted in service, empathy, and community development across Kebbi South Senatorial District.
