Senator Sunday Karimi’s N300 Million Bursary Scheme Opens for Eligible Candidates on August 1
The Senator Sunday Karimi Education Foundation, in collaboration with the Tinubu Support Group, is launching a N300 million bursary scheme for 3,000 students from Kogi State.
In a press statement made available through the senator’s media office, it’s announced that indigenous students of Kogi origin studying in public tertiary institutions within Nigeria are eligible to apply for the Senator Sunday Karimi Education Foundation bursary scheme.
According to the statement, 3,000 students will benefit from the scheme, with each successful student receiving N100,000 to support their 2025/26 academic calendar.
The beneficiaries are drawn from the three senatorial districts as follows with Kogi Central, 610 students, Kogi East 1,000 students and Kogi West, 1,390 students
This initiative, launched in collaboration with the Tinubu Support Group, aims to provide financial assistance to Kogi students, promoting educational advancement and youth empowerment in the state.
The application portal, (https://www.sundaykarimi.org), will be open from August 1 to August 31, 2025.
The guidelines for the Scheme is as follows
1. Eligibility: Only indigenous Kogi State undergraduate students in public tertiary institutions (universities, polytechnics, and colleges of education) are eligible.
2. Ineligible Institutions: Students in private higher institutions are not eligible.
3. Application Requirements: Any student who fails to upload or fill out all required information in the application form will not be considered.
4. Application Period: The portal will officially open on August 1, 2025, and all prospective applicants are advised to start their registration on or after this date, as prior registrations will not be considered.
5. Application Method: Only online applications through the provided (https://www.sundaykarimi.org) will be considered.
6. Registration Completion: All applicants are encouraged to submit their registrations after filling out the form to complete their application.
7. Payment Method: Only commercial banks (e.g., First Bank, UBA, Fidelity, Zenith, Union, Access, Keystone) will be accepted; mobile payment banks or fintech companies (e.g., Moniepoint, Opay, PalmPay) will not be accepted.
