The Honorable Minister of Steel Development, Prince Shuaibu Abubakar Audu have congratulated the newly appointed Ohinoyi of Ebira Land, Alhaji Ahmed Tijani Anaje, the newly appointed Maigari of Lokoja, Ibrahim Gambo Kabir, and other monarchs in Kogi State.
Prince Audu also congratulated the newly appointed twenty-one Local Government Caretaker Chairmen and Members of the State’s Executive Cabinet that were retained, following the dissolution of the former cabinet members.
Prince Audu’s congratulatory message was conveyed in a statement made available by his Special Assistant on Media, Lizzy Okoji on Tuesday in Abuja, following the appointments of the monarchs and cabinet members by the Kogi State Governor, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello CON.
Prince Audu urged the newly appointed monarchs and members of the State Executive Council to use their good offices to foster peace, unity, and development to the people, the state, and the nation.
The Minister lauded Governor Bello for following due process and wisdom in ensuring that the rightful people ascend the throne of their ancestors and for appointing competent hands at the helm of the state and Local Government Affairs.
“I join the people of Kogi State in congratulating the Ohinoyi of Ebira Land, Alhaji Ahmed Tijani Anaje, the Maigari of Lokoja, Ibrahim Gambo Kabir, the Ohimege-Igu of Koton-Karfe, Saidu Akawo Salisu, and the Maiyaki of Kupa, Dauda Isah who have ascended the sacred throne of their forefathers.
“We rejoice with you over this worthy opportunity, as we continue to pray that Almighty Allah give you the wisdom to rule your people in truth and honesty to bring peace, unity, and progress.
“May your reign bring the required development to your kingdoms, and we count on your wealth of knowledge and expertise through Allah’s guidance.
“I also congratulate the newly appointed Accountant General of the State, Mrs. Habibat Oyiza Tijani, and Mr. Yakubu Siyaka Adabenege, Auditor-General for Local Government, among other appointees.
“To the Local Government Caretaker Chairmen, I congratulate you all, as I particularly urge you to use your office to advance peace, unity, and development at the grassroots.
“I commend our amiable governor, His Excellency, Alhaji Yahaya Adoza Bello CON who, in his wisdom and following the rule of law, has ensured that the right people ascend the throne of their forefathers and also select appointees that will pilot the affairs of the state.
“We continue to pray for the betterment, peace, unity, and development of our beloved Kogi State, especially as we prepare for the transition of the government of consolidation and continuity come January 27, Insha Allah,” Audu stated.
