Veteran Actors Storm Jos as Plateau State Cultural Festival is Observed

Plateau State was agog on Saturday as the famous Plateau State Cultural Festival was celebrated in grand style with different displays of culture, dances, and secondary school competitions, among others.
The Chairman of the Plateau State Council of Chiefs and Emirs, Gbang Gwom Jos, represented by the Galadiman Shendam and flanked by Gwom Ibaas and other traditional rulers across the state, said the carnival is significant in uniting and promoting cultural diversities.
In his address, the former Member representing Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency, Hon. Dachung Bagos, said he is delighted, describing Plateau as a cultural state that is naturally endowed, and noting that some Nigerian films have been shot in Shere Hills and Vom.
He said Governor Caleb Mutfwang is focusing on the creative economy, and that with this carnival, the younger generations will learn, and Plateau State will be put on the map of the world. Bagos described Jos as the Europe of Nigeria.
The Commandant of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency and the Federal Road Safety Corps delivered their goodwill messages at the event.
