Former Governor Yahaya Bello Decorated as Grand Patron of Okun League of Progressive Elites
Former Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, has been decorated as the Grand Patron of the Okun League of Progressive Elites (OLOPE) in recognition of his support for the group.
The decoration ceremony took place at an event where Bello expressed his commitment to the group’s cause, stating that he has no regrets identifying with them due to their remarkable achievements during the last governorship election and afterwards.
Bello urged the group to work harder to secure an overwhelming victory for President Bola Tinubu and Governor Ahmed Ododo’s re-election, saying their efforts will contribute to the party’s success.
The DG OLOPE, Hon. (Barr.) Alfred Bello, praised the former governor’s support, saying it inspires them to do more, and the forthcoming election will justify their efforts.
The National Leader of OLOPE, CDR Jerry Omodara, thanked Bello for bringing a visionary leader as his successor, citing the governor’s achievements as a factor that will make the next election more seamless.
The decoration ceremony was performed by the Secretary of OLOPE, Philip Orebiyi, in the presence of other members.
