In a heartfelt display of leadership, compassion, and community spirit, His Excellency Murtala Sule Garo, a distinguished political figure and advocate for grassroots development, embarked on a series of significant visits across Kano State on a solemn evening marked by reflection and prayer.
Acting in submission to the divine will of Almighty Allah (SWT), His Excellency began his evening by paying a sympathy visit to Mallam Iliya Najume Kabo, a respected elder who recently sustained a serious fracture as a result of a tragic car accident. During the visit, His Excellency expressed his concern, offered words of comfort, and prayed for Mallam Kabo’s swift and full recovery. The visit underscored Murtala Sule Garo’s ongoing commitment to standing with his people during both moments of triumph and times of trial.
Continuing his compassionate mission, His Excellency also led a condolence delegation to the family of the late Hon. Isyaku Muhammad Necho, the Secretary of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ungoggo Local Government Area. The passing of Hon. Necho represents a profound loss to the APC family and to the community he served diligently. His Excellency described him as “a loyal party man, a pillar of grassroots mobilization, and a voice of unity in Ungoggo.” He extended heartfelt prayers for Allah’s mercy upon his soul and comfort for his grieving loved ones.
The day of reflection concluded with a visit to mourn the death of Alhaji Baba Ayiye Fagge, a respected elder statesman and former member of the Kano State House of Assembly, representing Fagge Local Government Area. His Excellency paid glowing tribute to Alhaji Ayiye’s enduring legacy, citing his wisdom, leadership, and unwavering dedication to public service. He described his passing as the end of an era and prayed fervently for his eternal rest.
> “In moments like these, we are reminded of the temporary nature of life and the lasting value of service, humility, and prayer,” Murtala Sule Garo said. “May Almighty Allah forgive their shortcomings and grant them all Aljannatul Firdaus as their final abode. Ameen.”
His Excellency’s actions serve as a powerful example of responsive and empathetic leadership—one that listens, feels, and walks with the people through their pain. The visits not only brought solace to the bereaved but also reinforced the unbreakable bond between leaders and the communities they serve.
