Hon. Leke Abejide pays Waec fee for all Students in Private Schools Across Yagba, Kabba Bunu-Ijumu Federal Constituencies.
The member representing Yagba East, Yagba West, Mopamuro Federal Constituency, Hon. Leke Abejide, through the Leke Abejide Foundation has commenced the payment of Waec fees for students in private secondary schools with administrative charges across 5 local government areas of Kogi State.
The Director General of Leke Abejide Foundation, Hon. Shola Adebola made this known during the official presentation of payment cheques to private school principals in Yagba Federal Constituency and Kabba Bunu-Ijumu Federal Constituency, Kogi State.
Speaking during the payment Hon. Shola Adebola the Director General Leke Abejide Foundation stated that the member has been paying since 2018 for students around Yagba Federal Constituency and while this is the second year payment for students around Kabba Bunu-Ijumu Federal Constituency.
“Hon. Leke Abejide through the foundation had consistently funded the foundation and payment of waec fees for students since 2018, to ease parents on the financial burden waec payment might bring on them and ensure that indigent students complete their secondary school education without dropping out of school, this initiative has reduced the number of out-of-school children in our area. It as peg the benchmark for youths to possess at least Secondary School Leaving Certificate while some use the opportunity to further their education to the tertiary institutions.

Leke Abejide especially for not leaving students of the private secondary schools to their fate, while highlighting the achievements of Hon. Abejide, the parents of beneficiaries also commended hin for his unprecedented commitment in the education sector and other developmental projects he has been committed to across Yagba Federal Constituency and considering the extension of same to other communities across Okun land.
