Kogi Guber 2027: It’s Okun first, Okun always; let Governor Usman Ododo complete his 
-year tenure – Asiwaju Prince Olatunji
Prince Dr Olatunji, the newly conferred Doctorate of Humanity by Prince Abubakar Audu University, Ayingba, Kogi State, has reaffirmed his support for Governor Ododo’s re-election in 2027.
The Asiwaju of Ayere Kingdom, Prince Dr Olatunji Olusoji, made this known while addressing journalists in Lokoja after receiving the honor.

He expressed surprise at the university’s recognition, despite he has not been able to contribute tangible development in the institution.
He pledged to work with the university management to build a structure on campus to commemorate his honor.
Olatunji said the recognition will boost his morale to contribute to the institution’s progress and growth.
He noted that the honor marked his first visit to Igala land and assured development support for the area.
“I was with Governor Ododo in Igalinugu community, and I discussed with the Councilor of the ward on providing a motorized borehole for the community,” he said.
He reaffirmed his desire to see Okun land progress, hence his determination to drive positive change, especially in Kogi State’s governorship quest.
He said no Okun person is happy they’ve not clinched the governorship for over 20 years, urging a restrategize to achieve greater success.
Olatunji reaffirmed his support for Ododo’s second term, emphasizing that Okun people should focus on a seamless process for 2031.
He said Okun people have been seeking the governorship for over 20 years, and he’s working towards solutions, not problems, to realize their dream.
He commended Governor Ododo’s performance in the last two years and is confident he’ll hand over to an Okun person in 2031.
