PRESIDENT TINUBU JOINS DIGNITARIES AT WEDDING FATIHA OF SENATOR BARAU JIBRIN’S CHILDREN IN ABUJA.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, alongside top political and traditional leaders, attended the wedding Fatiha of the children of the Deputy President of the Senate, Senator Barau I Jibrin, and His Highness Nasiru Ado Bayero, Emir of Bichi. The grand ceremony took place at the National Mosque in Abuja on December 13, 2024, following the Juma’at prayers.
The event was marked by the union of Jibrin Barau I Jibrin (Abba) and Maryam Nasir Ado Bayero, as well as Aisha Barau I Jibrin and Engineer Abubakar, son of Dr. Abdulmunaf Yunusa Sarina, President of Azman Group. The wedding ceremony, conducted by Imam Professor Ibrahim Maqari, was a momentous occasion that brought together political elites, religious leaders, and business magnates from across Nigeria.
The President of Nigeria, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, served a distinguished role at the event, acting as both Wakil and Waliy for the newlyweds, with the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, in attendance. Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), served as Waliy to the daughter of Bayero, while former Governor of Nasarawa State, Senator Tanko Almakura, represented the groom Abubakar, as Wakil.
A host of influential governors graced the ceremony, including Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara, Peter Mbah of Enugu, Dauda Lawal of Zamfara, Dikko Umar Radda of Katsina, Ahmed Usman Ododo of Kogi, and Mai Mala Buni of Yobe, alongside various senators from across party lines. Among the senators present were former President of the Senate, Ahmad Lawan, and prominent lawmakers such as Ali Ndume, Sani Musa, and Ibrahim Mohammed Bomai.
The political presence was further bolstered by the attendance of key figures such as the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Senator George Akume, Chief of Staff Femi Gbajabiamila, and National Security Adviser Malam Nuhu Ribadu, highlighting the broad political spectrum represented at the event.
In a display of national unity, the wedding Fatiha brought together figures from all walks of Nigerian life. The newlyweds, surrounded by their families, received blessings and prayers for a successful and prosperous marriage from clerics and well-wishers alike.
This significant event was not only a celebration of love but also an embodiment of Nigeria’s political harmony and respect for Islamic traditions, reinforcing the importance of cultural unity in the country’s fabric.
