Wike’s Attractions of Investors into FCT

With Barrister Nzenwo Nyesom Wike CON as the FCT Minister, the discovery of the potentials of the nation’s city as the hub of haywire investments is no longer in doubt, as many organizations, both local and global scramble to have their feet in the city through healthy competition.
Considering the vision and mission of the Minister to provide all necessary cooperation, enabling environment and visible development of the city in all areas , no doubt the need for more investments in all areas became needful.
This was buttressed by the official reports by the government agency in charge of statistics and assessment, the National Bureau of Statistics, NBS, how the FCT has become the stable for investors, investments and abode that had placed Lagos second against the previous ratings .
While matching words to actions by creating an enabling environment, the Minister has expanded the program geared towards reality by commencing consultations with relevant bodies, to ensure the realization of the dream for a new laced with not only development, but investments city and more investors .
Therefore, with deeper commitment, relevant agencies of FCT charged to deploy facilities like the Abuja investment company, AICL was mandated by the Minister to play the game according to rules , by taking the decision to another level and making it realizable in no distant time .
Aside attractions to the global world, concerted efforts must be put in place to exhaust local investors inline with policy of indiginisation, local content among many others.
The program has started yielding results with the launch of Abuja Business Investment Expo, launched for global investors, business leaders that attracted more than 500 high level participants which included about 40 countries that demonstrated their interests in investing in the FCT economy.
With the FCT as the global investment hub and Nigeria by and large positioned to boost not only the country’s economy, but generate employment opportunities, revenues and increase the current GDP to a more acceptable situation.
