Just In: Hon. Kola Oloniyo and Kayode Oshoko a.k.a Masara Dumps PDP for ADC in Kabba/Bunu Local Government
The African Democratic Congress (ADC) in Kabba/Bunu Local Government Area has continued to experience remarkable growth and renewed strength as a prominent political leader and former Council Leader, Hon. Kola Oloniyo and Kayode Oshoko a.k.a Masara, officially joined the party from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
The defection, which took place on Sunday, October 5, 2025, at Odolu, was a mini ceremony attended by enthusiastic party faithfuls, ward chairmen, and community leaders who gathered to welcome Hon. Kola and Kayode into the ADC family. The event also served as a prelude to what party leaders described as “the mother of all decamping ceremonies” to be held soon in Kabba/Bunu.
In his address, Hon. Kola Oloniyo, who is also the Managing Director of Testimony Pure Water, said his decision to join the ADC was inspired by the party’s internal democracy, unity, and progressive ideals. According to him, “The ADC’s logo, which symbolizes hands of fellowship, love, unity, and progress, truly reflects the values that can move our people and communities forward.”
Kayode Oshoko further pledged to bring his wealth of experience, grassroots mobilization skills, and leadership capacity to strengthen the ADC’s structure and contribute to its growing influence in Kabba/Bunu and beyond.
Welcoming Hon. Kola and Kayode into the party, Hon. Idris Rufus Oluwafemi (IDRUFEM) described the move as “a step in the right direction and a testament to ADC’s growing appeal as a home for genuine progressives.” He urged other leaders and stakeholders to emulate Hon. Kola’s and Kayode decision and join the ADC in building a united and forward-thinking political platform.
He reaffirmed that the ADC remains a party for all — built on inclusiveness, transparency, and a shared vision for a better future for the people of Kabba/Bunu Local Government and Kogi State at large.
The event concluded with goodwill messages, chants of solidarity, and renewed commitment among members to continue promoting the values of the African Democratic Congress across the grassroots.
