By Stanley Igwe
Stakeholders of Eguho in the old Ezzagu zone of Ishielu Local government area of Ebonyi state have endorsed the second term bid of Governor Francis Nwifuru in the 2027 general election.
The people also commended the governor for the award and execution of the road project from Ezillo to Ezzagu, which had remained deplorable for decades.
In a communique issued to newsmen, the President General of Eguho Ezzagu Development Union, Mr Chinedu Inhere, who spoke on behalf of the Union appealed to Governor to create Eguho autonomous community from the existing Ezzagu and Ezekunna autonomous communities, which was already causing supremacy of jurisdiction between the two traditional rulers of the communities.
The people noted that the proposed Eguho community would foster peace and unity between the two brothers of Ogboji and Nkomoro in the area.
The communique reads: “that Eguho stakeholders have proposed the creation of Eguho Autonomous Community”.
“That the proposed Eguho Community foster peace and unity between the two brothers of Ogboji and Nkomoro”.
“That we vehemently reject and oppose any proposal for community creation that will exclude either of Ogboji and Nkomoro in Eguho”.
“That all stakeholders of Eguho have accepted and adopted the creation of Eguho autonomous community”.
“That all earlier proposals of Eguho Ezekunna Community and Ogboji Akahuhu Ezzagu have been withdrawn, and rejected because of its divisive tendencies”.
The stakeholders further warned former member of Ebonyi state House of Assembly, Hon. Julius Nwokpor to steer clear from meddling in internal affairs of Eguho.
