“There Should Be No Election Come 2027, Let Tinubu Continue” – Amb. Eke

Ambassador Solomon David Eke, a staunch supporter of the Renewed Hope administration under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has called for the continuation of the current government beyond 2027.
Amb. Eke made this known during an exclusive interview with the media at the inauguration and maiden lecture of the Renewed Hope Grassroots Movement, held on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at the Nigeria National Merit Award House, Maitama, Abuja. The event was themed: “Continuity in Governance and Government Policies: Panacea to Sustainable Development.”
According to him, a careful observer of developments in the country can attest that the Tinubu-led federal government is effectively addressing the numerous challenges facing Nigeria. He maintained that many of the nation’s longstanding issues are already being resolved under the current administration.
Amb. Eke stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has stabilized the country and placed it on the path of sustainable growth through practical and forward-thinking economic policies. He emphasized the importance of continued support for the Renewed Hope administration beyond 2027.
Reflecting on his own political journey, he revealed that he had previously remained politically inactive but was compelled to become involved due to the significant strides of the Tinubu administration, particularly in the areas of security and economic reform. He cited the motivation of troops and bold economic measures as signs of a government that is delivering results.
To underscore his point about the need for continuity, Amb. Eke controversially suggested that there should be no presidential election in 2027, arguing that President Tinubu should be allowed to continue in office beyond his current term.
“There should be no election come 2027, let Tinubu continue,” he stated.
He also expressed strong confidence in Tinubu’s reelection, dismissing opposition efforts including emerging political coalitions as unlikely to succeed. He advised presidential hopefuls to instead rally behind the current administration and support its ongoing initiatives.
